The BaZi Ritual

Free BaZi calculator.

Enter what you know. With a birth time we cast all four pillars; without it we read the six known characters and test the full day for uncertainty.

Choose any named IANA time zone for historical daylight-saving accuracy, or a fixed UTC offset if the birth record states one. No birth time? We keep the hour pillar open and compare all 24 local-hour possibilities.

Choose a city and we resolve its exact time zone for the year you were born. Day and hour pillars follow your local birth clock; year and month pillars follow the solar terms. True-solar-time correction is not applied.

In classical practice, the shen sha spirits and the decade fortunes are read differently by gender. Without it, we show your pillars and elements only.

For a historical figure or a research chart, uncheck this — the current decade is then shown as the classical record, not as “now”.

Day and hour pillars are cast from your local birth time; year and month pillars follow the solar terms (Beijing wall clock). Nothing leaves this device unless you request a written reading — see our privacy note.

Your Chart

Your Pillars · 四柱 / 六字

Your known pillars are shown as facts. If the hour is unknown, it remains visibly open and is never replaced with a guessed pillar.

The Balance of Your Chart

Match a crystal to your element

Your Day Master belongs to one of the five elements. Each element guide pairs the traditional associations with pieces from the collection — resonance with your own element, or support from the element that generates it.

What your Four Pillars chart contains

BaZi—also called the Four Pillars of Destiny—is a Chinese astrology birth chart built from the year, month, day and hour of birth. This calculator shows the chart before interpretation, so you can see what each reading is based on.

Is BaZi just my Chinese zodiac?

No. The zodiac animal comes from one earthly branch. A full BaZi chart reads four pillars, the Day Master, hidden stems, Five Elements and the relationships known as the Ten Gods.

What if I do not know my birth hour?

Use unknown-hour mode. MUQING keeps the hour pillar open, reads the six known characters and compares all 24 local-hour possibilities instead of inventing a time.

Why does the birth city matter?

Historical time-zone and daylight-saving rules can change the converted birth moment. Select a listed city, or clear the city field and choose the correct birth-place UTC offset yourself.

Is this a Four Pillars calculator?

Yes. BaZi, the Four Pillars of Destiny, and the Korean saju are different names for the same system: four stem-branch pairs cast from the birth moment. This tool casts all four pillars, the Day Master, the Five Elements and the Ten Gods.

What does a Day Master calculator show?

The Day Master is the day stem at the center of your chart — the reference point every other character is read against. This calculator labels it explicitly, explains which of the ten stems it is, and shows the element balance around it.

Is there a Chinese zodiac calculator here?

The animal sign is only the earthly branch of the year pillar — one eighth of a chart. This calculator goes further: it casts the full four pillars, so you see the whole structure instead of a single animal.
